These terms cover your use of the BaggedIt mobile app. By using the app you accept them. The app is provided by TODO: your name or trading name.
Safety first — please read this one
BaggedIt is a planning and logging aid, not a substitute for proper navigation, a map and compass, or your own judgement. Route data, distances, ascent figures, difficulty grades, daylight times and GPS positions can all be wrong or out of date. Mountain terrain and weather are dangerous. You are responsible for your own safety and for deciding whether a route is within your ability. Do not rely on this app as your only means of navigation.
Using the app
You may use BaggedIt for your own personal, non-commercial hillwalking. You must not reverse-engineer it, resell it, or use it in any way that breaks the law or interferes with other people’s use of it.
Your account
You can use most of BaggedIt without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping access to it secure. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which also deletes your cloud data.
Your content
Routes, photos, notes and stories you create remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
If you submit a route to the community library, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that route within the app to other users, for as long as it stays published. You confirm that the route is yours to share and does not infringe anyone else’s rights. We review submissions before publication and may decline or remove any submission, at our discretion, without having to give a reason.
Access to land
A route existing in BaggedIt does not mean you have a right to walk it. Access rights differ across Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Checking that a route is legal and appropriate to walk is your responsibility.
Ads and affiliate links
The free version of BaggedIt shows advertising. The accommodation feature uses affiliate links, so we may earn a commission when you book through them, at no extra cost to you. We do not control the third-party sites those links lead to and are not responsible for them.
Availability
We aim to keep BaggedIt working but do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Features may change or be withdrawn. Cloud backup depends on third-party services outside our control — please do not treat it as your only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, BaggedIt is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for loss arising from your reliance on route, mapping, timing or difficulty information in the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of TODO: England and Wales, or Scotland — pick where you are based, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
